🎺 New Parent Guide: Getting Started with Easley Band

Welcome to the Easley High School Band family β€” we’re so glad you’re here!


This guide walks you through exactly what to do next so you can stay informed, prepared, and confident going into the season.


βœ… Step 1: Get Connected (Do This First)


Download and set up all required communication tools:

  • BoosterHub β†’ booster communication, calendar, sign-ups, payments
  • Band App β†’ director communication (call times, real-time updates)
  • CutTime β†’ student accounts and balances
  • MySchoolBucks β†’ payments

πŸ“… Step 2: Know Where to Find Information


You’ll receive information from multiple places:

  • BoosterHub β†’ announcements, calendar, volunteer sign-ups
  • Band App β†’ director communications; day-of updates and timing changes
  • CutTime β†’ financials and student accounts
  • Website + Social Media β†’ general updates and reminders

πŸ’΅ Step 3: Understand Fees & Payments


Required costs for Fall 2026:

  • Program Fee: $500
  • Meal Fee: $50
  • $100 commitment fee due May 15
  • Remaining payments due monthly (July–November)

πŸ’‘ Fees cover:

  • Uniforms, travel, staff, show design, props, meals, competitions

πŸ‘• Step 4: Make Sure Your Student Has What They Need


Required items include:

  • Summer uniform (shirt provided; student supplies black shorts, tennis shoes, black belt)
  • Show shirt (provided)
  • Compression gear (recommended 2 pairs of white or skin-tone)
  • Long socks (multiple pairs recommended, white for competitions)

⏰ Step 5: Understand Weekly Expectations


  • Practice: 4–7 PM (Mon, Tues, Thurs)
  • Students should be early and ready to go
  • Absences must be reported using the absence form

🚌 Step 6: Know What Competition Days Look Like


  • Full-day events (travel + performance + awards)
  • Late return times are normal
  • Detailed schedules are shared before each event

Tournament of Champions (TOC)

  • Our biggest event and fundraiser
  • Requires significant parent support
  • Families are asked to volunteer at least 4 hours
  • Saturday, September 26, 2026


🧠 Step 9: Learn Key Terms (Quick Basics)


  • Call Time β†’ when students must arrive (early and ready)
  • Load Time β†’ when parents help load equipment
  • Camp Day β†’ all-day rehearsal with guest clinicians
  • TOC β†’ major home competition and fundraiser
